Last summer, I had to go in person to the Town of Prosper building to have our water and sewer turned on. You could not do it on-line. You simply took your drivers license and your new address, with a check (you read it right, a check) to the nice lady behind the counter and she turned your water on. No line to stand in. You can see right down a hall where all of the city employees reign. Prosper is not even big enough to be considered a city. But we are slowly working on it.
We have been on major network television thanks to a former football player. Deion Sanders and his wife have a show on Oxygen Network, Deion & Pilar Primetime Love . It's pretty cute and fun to watch our little town and places that we go on TV.
And now thanks to some filty, money, bleeding billioniares, we will have great shopping and dining in the very near future. The town has signed a deal with 2 development companies - one that I do not know, and the other is the devil himself, Mr. Dallas, Mr. "more plastic surgery than Joan Rivers and I still look U-G-L-Y", Mr Jerry Jones. As if he didn't own enough of the metroplex, he has decided to sqat his Highland Park hiney in my town. But I will over look all of that if he can bring something to eat other than Sonic. As much as I love Sonic, I am over them. My dinner options need to expand.
I know that some of my friends have strong beliefs that only the best of everything is in Dallas. But I hate to be the one to brake it to you. Everything thing is moving north. And soon in my back yard. Here is my proof. I know, I know. It's is a long drive from uptown. But I will be very close by and you can spend the night. My house is only about half a mile from one area. If it makes you feel like we are in uptown or Chicago, we can walk. I don't mind.
If it means that Jerry Jones owes everything so be it. I will just be like the rest of the DFW area and give him 10% of my paycheck. I mean Chad's paycheck.
We will be "moving on up, to the north side" in 2010.

Are you a blog hopper?
You know you are! Come out of the closet. We all do it.
Well I have added another one. Our China Travel Blog is my neighbor's blog, the Hastys. It's an interesting read. They just returned from China with a new little boy. He is 27 months old and so tiny and petite. His name is Noah. His new siblings are Claire and Ethan, Laura and Mark's biological children. They are adjusting to the jet lag and the new family member.
We were able to spend time with Noah last night and this morning. He is already very attached to Laura and does not want her out of his site. They are doing all of the doctor appointments next week and hope to hear good things. Laura's main concern is about his weight. He is very underweight. He is about 17.5 pounds where Addison is 24 and about 6 months younger. He eats very well and likes just about everything.
They are very excited and we are so happy for them.

Such the little mommy
Reece never took to a baby doll. She has a couple and just never cared for them very much. Addison on the other hand...she is a mom in training. She has taken over one of Reece's babies and it goes everywhere. Sits at the table for most of our meals so that Addie can feed her. Addie pushes the baby around in the stroller. And most importantly, the baby goes to sleep with her at night. Just in case you are keeping tabs - in order to go to bed, Addison must have her blanket, her paci (I know, it's my crutch too) and now the baby. Oh well. She hasnot awaken at nights in several weeks so I am okay with it. Now that I have actually said that "out loud", I am sure she will be calling my name this evening.

And so it begins
I knew when we bought this house that they would eventually be building next to us. There are 4 lots in a square that have been a lovely field for neighborhood kids to play baseball in. Kind of like their own "Sandlot". But about 2 weeks ago, a few gentlemen came a pushed some dirt around on th lot behind us. Nothing since. But yesterday started the process of actual construction as they are now moving the dirt to lay down the plumbing pipes. I am sure that there will be plenty of "water" marks on my fence. Yeah me.
In other household (neighbor) news, our next door neighbor has put there house on the market. I don't know why. They aren't very chatty people. But I am on a mission to make sure my new neighbors don't suck. I am going to personally promote this property as we are fantastic neighbors. I am looking for a family with young kids (girls) and SAHM with great cooking skills. Father figure must be into yard work and golf, washing cars, and playing outside with the kids. Rock bands need not apply, nor should anyone with drug problems, lots of cars, or more than 2 large dogs. We will be forming a babysitting co-op so we can go out every other Friday without kids. Here is a link to the house for a virtual tour. You will also see our home as well as the other neighbors. It is a 5 bedroom, 4 bath, 3 car garage. Please contact me if you need more information as I will be your real estate agent for this property.
Welcome home neighbor!

Disney World in Texas
If you ever wanted to see Tinkerbell, Snow White, Cinderella, and Belle, please feel free to travel to Prosper. They make regular appearances and pose for photographs. Also scheduled to appear (though not part of the official Disney group) are Barbie Mariposa, Wedding Day Barbie, and Flapper Girl.

The position has been filled
Hugs & Stitches recently placed an ad looking for an assistant to the designer. I am pleased to report that the position has been filled. She is young, bright, full of energy. She is always right by my side. Asking what I am doing and how she can help. She does talk too much. She thinks clothing is optional at times. Takes frequent breaks to check on the other non-productive employee. And insist on the company providing all meals and snacks. We'll see how long this will last. She is talking about going part-time in the fall because she says she is going to school for higher education. Here is her picture.

Everyone has such great kids and as much we that moms would like to take all of the credit, we can't. You do a pretty good job!
