Main goal in raising girls

Chris Rock once said that your main goal when raising girls is to keep them off of the pole. Parents of boys don't have to worry about this. For some reason it isn't as frowned upon if your son is a male dancer. But if your daughter is (let's be PC) an exotic dancer, it seems to be something that you should be ashamed of. And if it happened today, yes I would be a little embarrassed. If it is how they put themselves through school, we may talk. Back to where I wanted to go with this.

All children have different periods in there life where it is entertaining to be naked, nude, in their birthday suit. Some parents even take pictures of their cute little behinds. But I am starting to worry. Addison is borderline exhibitionist. The child WILL NOT keep her clothes on. We are at the point of wearing onesies again because it is harder for her to get them off. You noticed I didn't say she couldn't. It is just harder than a dress, pants, shorts, one piece jumpers and swimsuits.

Don't you remember being a little kid and being frustrated that you couldn't get your swimsuit off. Not Addison. To her it is a challenge that she takes head on. She can also remove that swimmer with ease. At night she takes off her shirt or what ever is left and most of the time her diaper. Runs into the other room to show who ever is here, her naked body. She does a little gorilla chest pounding on her belly. If we are lucky, she will come back and get dressed. If not, we can anticipate at least 2-3 minutes of chasing and running around. Sometimes longer. Sometimes I just give up and let her be, hoping and praying that she doesn't pee on the carpet.

Friday night was a typical Addison moment. She had taken off her dress and bloomers. Ran to go see Chad in the closet. She rips her diaper off in the bathroom. But the best part was when her poop rolled over that bathroom floor. She doesn't care. Comes running to see me, muddy bottom and all.

We need to address this nakedness soon. We don't want her to think that you get more attention being naked and running around to show everyone. She will be on the pole if we don't change.
